1) Even in the internet age now, ripping off films by selling copies of original works reaps monies.
2) Pirates now threaten filmmakers for ransoms saying that they can spread copies on the internet before official releases.
3) Netflix and Disney are actual cases of being blackmailed over their forthcoming episodes or movies though they haven't paid for them.
4) There is a risk that not only their cases, but many other potential cases may continue to occur.
5) The new business model, demanding ransoms for piracy is quite puzzling as well as innovative compared to the existing lucrative model of releasing digital copies.
6) Pirates seem to prefer going directly to original producers to either selling copies to "top release groups" or providing through websites, though they have not successfully got what they wanted yet.
